Halloween at Fairbank Village
Fairbank Village loves celebrating the Halloween. It is a festive time for local businesses and the community to have fun in the neighbourhood.
This year’s Halloween is like no other. As a reminder, our annual Pumpkin Giveaway is unfortunately cancelled this year as a result of COVID-19. For information on Ontario’s public health advice on how to stay safe this Halloween, click here. Although our community cannot celebrate like we normally would, there are alternative ways that we can all come together and enjoy the spooky season.
Local businesses can get festive and celebrate in creative ways this year. Restaurants can modify their current offerings to a Halloween theme. Decorations are also a fun way to get into the spirit of the season.
Great places to shop for Halloween:
Halloween candy and treats: Jason’s NoFrills, Variety Store, Dollarama, A&L Dollar Plus
Decorations: Dollarama, Jason’s NoFrills
Grab a hot pizza that you can DIY into a spooky themed treat. Adding extra mozzarella to turn your cheesy pizza into a mummy pizza, cut up olives to look like little spiders: Chito’s Pizza, Pizza Hut
Clothing that you can use to get into the spirit: Check out Tee Shirt People, House of Moss and Beni Boo
If your business is doing something special for Halloween, decorations, giveaways, special promotions, please contact the BIA and we can promote it on our social media. Be sure to celebrate this year in a safe, socially distanced manner. Looking forward to a festive celebration next year.
Happy Halloween!
Reminiscing on the fun we had at last year’s Pumpkin Giveaway Event!
