Our primary goals in collecting personal information are to share information about our work, to invite you to events designed to update you on Fairbank Village BIA’s activities, to allow you to request information, and to thank you for your support. EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS
By submitting your email address to the Website, you consent to being placed on Fairbank Village BIA’s mailing lists and thereby receiving e-mail correspondence from the organization, including newsletters, event advertisements, and Website updates. You may remove your e-mail address from the applicable mailing list at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any e-mail from Fairbank Village BIA. Although we will promptly remove your e-mail address from our mailing list, you may still receive any e-mails that are initiated before your e-mail address is removed from the list. 

When signing up for our Newsletters or to volunteer with us, kindly ensure that you only enter your own details. Do not sign up for others. We encourage every potential volunteer or participant in our events to sign up by themselves.

Fairbank Village BIA will not sell your personal information to third parties. We may use the information we obtain from you, including personal information, only for the purpose(s) you have submitted. Examples of using your personal information for the purpose(s) submitted include sending you an email about updates to the Site or about an upcoming event or community activities if you have signed up for updates. We also may conduct an occasional survey of our registered users, to see how our Site or the organization can better serve you. In addition, we may send to you an e-mail offering products or services that we think you may be interested in. SPECIAL NOTES FOR PARENTS
This Website is mainly intended for use by those who have reached age 13 and older. However, users under the age of 13 are also welcome, but with parental supervision. By using our Website you are affirming that you are at least 13 years old.  Fairbank Village BIA does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Also, by signing up as a volunteer, users certify that they are 13 years of age or older, or with parent’s approval for users under the age of 13. If you believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided information to the Website, without parent/guardian approval, please notify us at info@fairbankvillagebia.ca. We are not liable for any damages that may result from the user’s misrepresentation of age.

PHOTOGRAPHS, VIDEOS & RECORDINGS
Fairbank Village BIA events may be photographed, videotape or recorded by Fairbank Village BIA in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, Section 27, and these photographs, videotapes and recordings will be made available to the general public. By entering Fairbank village's event areas you hereby grant the Fairbank Village BIA the right to take photographs, videotape and/or make audiovisual recordings of you, and to own, license, assign and/or use the same or any portion thereof, anytime and anywhere, in any current or future manner and/or medium. You will not receive any payment for, or have the right to approve, any such use and waive any right to bring any action at law or in equity against the Fairbnak Village BIA its past, present and future officers, agents, representatives and employees, and any combination of any of those persons. You acknowledge that you are at least eighteen years of age. If you are under the age of eighteen, you represent that you have obtained your parent's/guardian's consent to enter this area and be bound by the terms set forth herein. LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FOR TORONTO

We acknowledge the land we are meeting on is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg (ah-nish-naw-bek), the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee (hoodt-en-oh-show-nee) and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis (may-tee) peoples.
