What To Expect at Light Up the Holidays 2019
‘Tis the season! Already a year has past since Light Up the Holidays 2018, and we’re excited to give you a glimpse of what’s to come this year. Fairbank Village’s Light Up the Holidays is an annually held outdoors event filled with free snacks, entertainment, and (of course) dazzling lights, to help you get into the holiday spirit. If you didn’t get the chance to come last year, here’s a look back at what happened at Fairbank Village’s Light Up the Holidays Event 2018:
Light Up the Holidays 2019 will still carry over the same holiday cheer, Christmas carolers, free festivities, and Fairbank Village’s tree lighting tradition from previous years. But, we’re happy to announce that there will be a balloon-twisting Elf on the premises who will be giving away free balloon creations for kids to enjoy. In addition, we’re excited to have Blush Band perform live music to help get into the holiday spirit!
We encourage you to mark your calendars and join in our free holiday festivities. Various event activities will be held in three locations:
Centre Location → Shortt St. and Eglinton Ave.W. (Just west of Dufferin St.) (from 2-6pm)
Activity Centre 1 → NE Corner of Chamberlain and Eglinton Ave W. (from 2-4pm)
Activity Centre 2 → W Side of Dufferin St. between Ramsden Rd. and Bowie Ave. (from 2-4pm)
Make sure to stay until the Fairbank Village tree lighting ceremony at 5:45pm to watch our tree twinkle! An annual tradition since 2012 and is something the community looks forward to come the holiday season. This year, volunteers will be helping us decorate a live tree.
The Light Up the Holiday’s event will be on Saturday, December 7th from 2pm to 6pm. Everything is while supplies last. The public is welcome to come and be merry by joining our community for this annual winter celebration!
